Free English Worksheets with Answers
Interactive grammar, vocabulary and exam worksheets from A1 to C1. Every one has an answer key, saves your work in your browser and prints cleanly if you prefer paper.
These worksheets were written by Kyle Atkins, a DELTA-qualified English teacher, for his own students and are free for anyone to use. Most of them mark themselves: you type or choose an answer, press Check, and the page tells you what was right and what to look at again. Where a task has more than one good answer, the key shows a model answer instead.
You do not need an account. Your answers are saved on your own device by the browser you are using, so come back in the same browser to continue. Each page has a Print button for a clean paper copy, and on most worksheets the answer key only prints when you have chosen to show it, so teachers can hand out the student version.
Start with the level that matches you. If you are not sure, take the free English placement test first (10 minutes, CEFR A1 to C2).

Questions people ask
Are the worksheets really free?
Yes. Every worksheet on this page is free to use online and to print, with no account and no sign-up. The only exceptions are the answer keys of the Legal English chapters and legal grammar units, which open with a code held by your teacher so that classes can use them as marked work.
Do the worksheets come with answers?
Yes. Most exercises mark themselves the moment you press Check and explain what was wrong. Writing tasks with more than one possible answer come with a model answer in the key. On the printable grammar sheets, the key only prints when you have chosen to show it.
Can I print the worksheets?
Yes. Each page has a Print button and a print layout, so a worksheet comes out as a clean A4 document without the website around it.
Which level should I start with?
Each card shows a CEFR level. If you are not sure of yours, take the free 30-question placement test first; it gives you a level from A1 to C2 and a suggested next step.
Can teachers use them in class?
Yes. The sheets print without the answer key unless you show it, several units include pair-work options, and the Legal English chapters come with a teacher key that explains the marking scheme for every written task.
Want feedback from a real teacher?
Worksheets build accuracy. Live lessons build fluency. One-to-one and small-group courses are tailored to your level and goals, including Business English and English for lawyers.
